20-foot containers make up a significant portion of the world’s maritime container fleet, representing 50–60% of the total according to the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF). Their versatility makes them indispensable in the global supply chain.
But they are not only used for cargo transport—they are also employed as storage solutions. They are an excellent option for those who need extra space to store equipment or materials safely.
Most of our 20′ containers are manufactured with the EOD (Easy Open Door) system, featuring three locking bars. Their easy opening and closing make them ideal for frequent use. The container’s airtightness is ensured in both systems, and all units are CSC-certified (valid for 5 years from the date of manufacture).
Our containers are produced with more ventilation grilles (air vents) than standard market models: 14 air vents in 20-foot containers. Flooring is generally made of bamboo.
What are the dimensions of a 20-foot container?
The 20’ is known for its standard size, measuring 6 metres long, 2.43 metres wide, and 2.59 metres high.
This standard size facilitates loading, unloading, and transportation by ship, truck, or train. It also makes them more economical compared to larger sizes, both in transport costs and in costs associated with storage and handling.
What is the capacity of a 20-foot container?
The internal volume capacity of a 20’ container is 33.10 m³, and the maximum payload is 28 tonnes. They are used to transport a wide variety of goods, from manufactured products to raw materials, industrial equipment, agricultural products, and more.
Types of 20-foot containers
20’ DV
Standard 20-foot containers, also known as “dry vans,” are the most common. They are ideal for shipping non-perishable goods and offer a safe, cost-effective solution for international transport.

20’ HC
High Cube 20-foot containers are similar to the standard version but with an extra foot (30 cm) in height. This provides additional space, making them ideal for tall items or for maximising load capacity.

20’ DD
Double Door 20-foot containers offer extra flexibility. They have doors at both ends of the container, which can also be locked from the inside, ensuring cargo security.
These containers are a perfect option for storage. With independent access from each end, only a partition panel in the middle would be needed to use them as two separate spaces.

20’ OS
Open Side 20-foot containers feature one side that opens completely, providing improved access to the interior. They are ideal for loading long goods easily and adapting to any project. They are also very popular for commercial and creative applications such as bars, trade fair stands, events, and more.

20’ HT
20-foot Hard Top containers are specifically designed to make loading and unloading heavy or oversized cargo easier. Their key feature is a removable steel roof, allowing top access when required.
